Hello! We are John and Christine. We appreciate you taking the time to read our story and getting to know us a little better!
John and I have been together for seven years and married for three. We have two dogs, Georgia and Dexter, who are the sweetest pups! My husband, John, is a math teacher and coach, working with middle and high school students. He coaches both football and basketball. John played football in high school and college and has been coaching for the last seven years. He is a dedicated husband and a compassionate teacher/coach. He pours out love in everything he does. He has such a servant’s heart and is the most caring man I know. I can’t wait to see him become a dad! I, Christine, am a school counselor. I have worked with all age groups (K-12) and absolutely love what I do. I love being able to have a career where I get to help children and make a difference every day. I am thankful that John and I both have careers where we get summers and many holidays throughout the year off so that we can spend time together as a family.
Being adopted myself, adoption has always been a special part of my life. Even as a young child, I knew that I wanted to adopt a child one day. I often thought about how special it would be to share that with another person. The gift of adoption is so beautiful and special, and it really expresses a love that is indescribable. Early in our relationship during discussions about children, adoption was always an option and was never something we questioned. John and I recently tried to conceive a child for almost two years. After a year of trying with no success, we decided to get testing done for both of us to see what was going on. After several tests and going to an infertility specialist, we were diagnosed with infertility issues that were unable to be treated. While this broke our hearts, God quickly replaced the void and feelings of sadness with peace. We both realized that God was saying now is the time to pursue adoption. It will be an honor to be able to share the gift of adoption and the gift of being adopted with our child.
We know God is writing a beautiful story! Our child will be surrounded by God-loving, caring, fun, and compassionate family and friends. Our home is a safe and loving environment where we celebrate adoption and promise to tell our child his or her story. We are trusting that God will bring us our baby in His perfect timing. We know that choosing adoption requires immense courage and strength, and we understand the struggles that come with the process. Please know we are praying daily for the expectant mother that chooses us as the adoptive parents to her baby!
