Meet Erick & Julie
Our story began in August 2012 when we had our first date which ended up lasting all day! Our relationship and love grew through the seasons and we were engaged in January of 2014 and married on a sunny, winter day in December 2014.
We have truly enjoyed these first few years in our marriage of time with “just us” (and our pup Crimson of course!). In our first year of marriage we stored all of our belongings and moved overseas to Thailand to teach English for 6 months. We learned so much from this experience as a couple and about the world and now are always trying to find the best Thai food recipes/restaurants to relive our experiences. As a couple, we truly enjoy exploring new places whether a state park in our home state of Oklahoma or a new country across the globe.
Now that we are settled back in our home state with jobs that we enjoy, we are ready to grow our family! Erick works as a social worker in a juvenile facility and Julie is a librarian at a Christian liberal arts university in our town.
Julie shared with Erick fairly early on in their relationship that she was born with a birth defect that has left her with absolute uterine infertility. Other than this reproductive defect, Julie is completely healthy. We both agreed that adoption was our first choice to grow our family when we were ready. We have a lot of love and care to give and aim to keep our home and family focused on Christ first and most of all. Our hearts and home are ready and open to welcome a precious little one and we wait with expectation and hope for this journey!
