Meet David & Abby
Hello there! We are David and Abigail, welcome to our story.
We are so unbelievably excited to start this journey and see God’s plan unfold. We know that your future decisions are difficult, but we promise to surround you, your family, and your little one with love, support, and respect no matter what happens. We are praying for you and your family daily, and we are excited to begin this journey and see God’s hand at work!
David and I met in 2000 on our first day of kindergarten and started dating during junior year of high school. After dating for 4 and a half years, 2 of which were long distance due to college, internships, and the Air Force, we were married in March of 2016. In the summer of 2016, we moved to an air base in Germany, where we are currently living until the fall of 2019. David is an aircraft maintenance and I work as a contractor for the chapel on base (working with the ministries we have). The community here on base is one big happy family, and we have found so much love and support! We love traveling, especially being stationed in Germany. We have visited 12 countries since being here! When we are blessed with a little one, our plan is to continue those adventures as a family! We love outdoor adventures like camping, all things Disney, and eating fantastic food. Our little pup, Gene, is a 6 pound yorkie mix that loves cuddling and is excellent with kids!
We are both very close to our families (both of which are back in the states). They are all so excited for this little one to come into our lives! This kiddo will be the first grandchild and great-grandchild on both sides, so they will get all the love and attention!
We had discussed adoption when we first got engaged. We didn’t know how or when it was to happen, but we knew that it was something we were called to be a part of. About a year into our marriage, we decided it was time to grow this little family of ours. At first, we felt as though adoption would come later in life, and we decided to start trying to conceive. During this past year, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), which makes it difficult to conceive. Through this time, we decided to take a step back and spend time in prayer. It was then that God led us to meet great friends who were adopting, to encourage us and educate us in the adoption process. We felt as though God was clearly saying “now!” and we are so happy that we listened to Him!
Thank you for reading our story, and for taking us into consideration. You are in our thoughts and prayers!
