Meet Daniel & Taylor
Hello, we’re Daniel and Taylor! We have been married for 4 years. Daniel is an electrical engineer at a local power company, and I work from home as a legal proofreader. I was a teacher for five years, but decided to work from home once our son, Eli, was born so I could spend more time with him.
Daniel and I have always had a heart for adoption. We firmly believe that Christians are called to care for children, love them, and lead them to Jesus. Once we got married in August of 2013, my doctors advised me that carrying a baby would be dangerous for my heart because of a defect. We then decided that this turn was the Lord directing us to grow our family through adoption. Adoption is the beautiful picture of God’s perfect love for us. Just like we are adopted into His family when we accept His gift of forgiveness, children who are adopted are loved unconditionally and welcomed into their families with loving arms.
We started our adoption journey in July of 2016. Shortly after announcing our plans to adopt to our families and friends, a dear family friend connected us with a young mom-to-be. We formed a deep bond with her, and when she delivered her son in September of 2016, she gave us the priceless gift of becoming parents. Eli Daniel is now 16 months old, and he is an absolute joy. He is the happiest, most fun-loving little boy who is always ready for an adventure. We have kept in touch with his first mama through pictures and occasional messages. We will forever love and cherish our relationship with her.
In November of 2017, our second son was born. A close family friend offered to carry a child for us, and she delivered our biological son, Fuller, on November 3rd. Early on in our pregnancy, we received a fatal diagnosis for Fuller of Trisomy 18. We prayed one specific prayer over Fuller’s life, and that was to get to meet him before he joined Jesus in heaven. The Lord answered our prayers, and we were able to spend several hours with him before he passed away. While losing our son has been the most difficult trial we have ever faced, we know that God’s sovereign plan is perfect. God loves us perfectly, and we trust in His will.
As we begin our adoption journey again, we are so anxious to open up our home and lives to another sweet child or children. We know that God has the perfect family planned for us, and we feel humbled knowing He has chosen us to raise these children. We strive every day to raise Eli in a home that puts Jesus first. We love to laugh, play, sing, dance, cook, eat, get messy, and enjoy life. We are so thankful for the opportunity to share our lives with another child or children.
